The athletic Head Coach is responsible for all aspects of operation and team management including recruitment, training, coaching, and retention of quality student-athletes. The Head Coach must guide, develop, and provide leadership in all functions of an effective program. The primary focus is on the academic success of our student-athletes and teaching the sport of Baseball while incorporating qualities that will create responsible citizens that represent the College, positively. The Head Coach follows rules and guidelines in accordance with NJCAA and MCCAA, develops preliminary budgets, travel and equipment needs, and schedules. In support of the Department, the Coach is responsible for the proper use of a Mid company card and promptly submits accurate expense information and receipts. In agreement with the Athletic Director, the Coach authorizes expenditures of any assistant coaches. Also, in conjunction with the Athletic Director, the Head Coach ensures that Mid’s hiring practices are adhered to. This position oversees assistant coaches and makes them cognizant of Mid Policies, procedures, and best practices.
