Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders are students who have successfully completed a historically difficult course and been identified as having excellent content-area knowledge and learning and study strategies. To promote student learning and success, SI Leaders are responsible for attending class lectures and facilitating optional study and review sessions for students enrolled in these targeted courses. SI Leaders identify challenging content and develop session activities to help students learn, process, and apply course material. They encourage peer-to-peer interactions and collaboration, integrating “how to learn” strategies into their sessions.
